This is a deeper microneedling treatment geared toward stimulating collagen production and smoothing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and scarring. This treatment can be performed on face and body!
NOTE: it takes time for the body to produce mature collagen and results are cumulative. Typically your skin will lay down temporary collagen for immediate wound repair for about 10 - 14 days after treatment, which is why we typically see the plump effect that wears off in about 2 weeks. Once that happens, then the skin begins to lay down mature collagen for the next 4 months! Patience is a virtue when looking for anti-aging results!
This is a shallow microneedling treatment geared toward using controlled inflammation to "reset" a chronic inflammatory response that leads to acne, inflamed skin and hyper pigmentation.
*NOTE: there are a myriad of acne triggers and microneedling can help manage the inflammatory response and potentially clear the acne, but acne typically requires a multifaceted, holistic approach to clear. Your Licensed Professional Aesthetician will likely want to book an Acne Consultation with you along with your Microneedling treatment.
This is a medium depth treatment geared at reducing the inflammatory response in the skin that either produces too much or too little pigmentation.
Hyper Pigmentation: your pigment may look worse before it looks better due to old pigmented cells being pushed toward the surface - trust the process and use depigmentation products and retinols as recommended by your Licensed Professional Aesthetician! Ask your LPA about adding a Peel to your Microneedling appointment!
Hypo Pigmentation: hypopigmentation is a complicated condition and may or may not be reversible. We're happy to help you try either way! We recommend using Exosomes to reprogram cells and you may want to discuss prescription treatment options with your dermatologist.
This is a medium depth treatment meant to stimulate dormant and active hair follicles to produce new hair growth! We recommend using a hair growth exosome serum while engaging in Microneedling for Hair Growth! We're happy to set out our favorite for you to purchase at your appointment!
*NOTE: this treatment may have a slightly higher price point, due to having to section hair for numbing and treatment, which may cause the treatment to run longer than normal.
When booking this treatment please select "Hair" if you are currently growing hair in the treatment area or "No Hair" if your hair growth is minimal or none in the treatment area.
Failure to select "Hair" if you have hair growth may result in your appointment being rescheduled and a rescheduling fee being charged.
DOES MICRONEELDING HAVE A RECOVERY PERIOD? Yes! Here's what to expect:
Up to 3 days of intensive recovery where you'll look red/pink and will feel windburned/raw. During this time you'll avoid "sun, heat, wet & sweat" so no saunas, hot tubs, hot showers, the gym, sun exposure, pools, etc... you'll want to treat your skin as though you have an open wound because... you do!
Up to 5 days of light recovery where you'll still try to avoid the sun, wear sunscreen even when indoors and wear a hat when outdoors. You can reintroduce your gym routine but keep it light, you don't want to increase your circulation too much or get too hot. During this time DO NOT PICK at "purge pimples" or any peelies; doing so can lead to scarring.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I BOOK MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS? That depends on your goals.
Maintenance: Book once a month to once every 3 months
Corrective: Book every 2 to 4 weeks pending the direction of your Licensed Professional Aesthetician
HOW MANY MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS SHOULD I DO? We recommend a series of 4 treatments to start, as the results are cumulative in nature.
AT WHAT AGE SHOULD I BEGIN MICRONEEDLING? We recommend starting between 25 to 30 for maintenance of collagen. If you have early signs of aging, acne or scarring, your Licensed Professional Aesthetician may recommend you begin as early as 18 but likely we'd begin with a few MicroPeel facials or BioNeedling facials first.
WHAT TYPES OF PRODUCTS SHOULD I USE TO SUPPORT MY MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS? For recovery, you'll want to use gentle products and no acids or exfoliators for the week after your treatment. We also like to incorporate Copper Peptides and a lipid soluable Vitamin C for both recovery and skin health in between treatments! We also like to introduce Retinol into our routines in between treatments as well. Those ingredients are the best at producing collagen and helping to manage inflammation and acne! We're happy to set out our favorites for you to purchase when you come in for your treatment!
